The Baptists Ballad

(just something that I started to write about this year in my life, but, I realized that it looked alot like the struggles of John the Baptist when he was in prison, not to imply that I went through anything like that. So I took off with that idea, and it turned into this. I kind of thought about Max Lucado's commentary on the Beatitudes when John the Baptist is feeling lost and betrayed. Read it. "The Applause of Heaven" soooo goood. I have some ideas, but no definate chords yet)

3"You're blessed when you're at the end of your rope. With less of you there is more of God and his rule." Mathew 5:3

I'm no stranger to hopeless,

I'm familiar with fear.

Told God I was lonely,

When He was right there.

I've been in peices;

Spent time on my knees.

God speaks in heartbreak

and He's spoken to me

But please don't

Please don't get me wrong

You have to be broken,

before you are strong.

This journey was gravel

without any shoes.

It was chains in a dark place

with out any food.

I've came out alive.

Yes, I think I'm okay

I'm bruised and I'm bleeding

But I'm stronger today.

But please don't

Please don't get me wrong

You have to be broken,

before you are strong

You have to be broken,

before you are strong.
